Financial Markets Conduct Act 2013 (FMCA) advice

Advising subsidiaries of Craigs Investment Partners in their roles as manager of a number of managed investment schemes (including Kiwisaver, superannuation and unit trust schemes) on the transition of those schemes to the new FMCA regulations.
Advising New Zealand Guardian Trust on the transition process in its role as supervisor of a large number of schemes (15) for fund manager AMP, including the appointment as supervisor for a majority (10) of those schemes, to the new FMCA regulations.
Advising Asteron Retirement Investment on the transition of its legacy superannuation schemes to the new FMCA regulations.
Advising the Trustees of the Meat Industry Superannuation Scheme in relation to transitioning to the new FMCA regulations.

Working with numerous clients, including providers, employers and supervisors to establish and maintain KiwiSaver arrangements.

General investment product offerings
Advising numerous local and international clients on all aspects of establishing and operating investment product offerings, including unit trust, private equity, superannuation and other managed investment schemes both within New Zealand and on a cross-border basis. We also advise on custodial arrangements, including enhanced custody structures.

Regulatory advice
Providing advice to local and international participants in the funds management and financial services industries in relation to regulatory compliance and structuring, including in respect of the Financial Advisers Act, the Financial Service Providers (Registration and Dispute Resolution) Act, the Financial Markets Conduct Regulations Act, the Financial Markets Supervisors Act, and anti-money laundering legislation.
