Kelsey Lindsay

Kelsey has considerable experience advising on significant corporate transactions in a wide range of sectors, including healthcare, agriculture and dairy, food and beverage and marine services.  Her work includes experience in takeover offers and schemes of arrangement, overseas investment, joint ventures and corporate governance. 

Before joining Bell Gully in 2023, Kelsey was a senior associate at a specialist corporate law firm in New Zealand. Kelsey has also worked for the New Zealand Takeovers Panel and a multinational bank.

Sale of shares in Villa Maria Estate Limited to Indevin Group Limited
Advising one of New Zealand’s largest wine companies Villa Maria Estate Limited and its shareholder FFWL Limited (In Receivership) on the sale of all of the shares in Villa Maria and the sale of land surplus to Villa Maria’s core operating requirements.

The Villa Maria transaction won Insolvency and Restructuring Deal of the Year at the 2022 New Zealand Law Awards. In granting the award, the judges’ described the deal as “a complex and large restructure and sale of an iconic brand; the complexity and navigation of the challenging issues made this nomination stand out.”
