Laura Lincoln

Senior Associate, Wellington

Laura is a senior associate specialising in environmental and planning law. She provides strategic and legal advice to a broad range of clients on all aspects of New Zealand’s resource management system. 

Laura's experience includes work on large-scale infrastructure projects, particularly in the transport and energy sectors, working with in-house counsel, project managers, planners and technical experts to obtain resource consents and designations and participate in plan change processes. She has represented a wide range of clients in mediation and dispute resolution processes and in Council hearings and the Environment Court.
 
In addition to this work, Laura has experience advising clients in land acquisition, disposal and compensation matters under the Public Works Act 1981, and has appeared before the Land Valuation Tribunal and High Court. Laura also regularly provides advice to clients in relation to the environmental aspects of property and commercial transactions, including advising on risk and liability associated with contamination and current and future activities on land. She also undertakes sensitive land assessments for Overseas Investment Office approval.
