Bell Gully listed as an elite firm in GCR100 guide to top competition lawyers

03 December 2025

Bell Gully has once again been named as an elite firm in the 26th edition of the GCR100, Global Competition Review’s definitive guide to the top 100 law firms globally for Competition/Antitrust matters.

This is the 21st year running that Global Competition Review has recognised Bell Gully as having an ‘elite’ competition practice, its highest ranking in New Zealand.

The Bell Gully team has been recognised for the role we have played in some of the most complex and noteworthy competition matters from the past year, including Contact Energy’s NZ$2.3 billion acquisition of Manawa Energy and Interpublic’s US$13.5 billion global merger with Omnicom Group.

Glenn Shewan, one of our leading competition partners, commented that “It’s a privilege to work with our clients on their most challenging and transformational competition matters and to see this reflected in our ‘elite’ ranking”.
