Matthew Gale

Matthew is an experienced litigator with a proven track record across a wide range of commercial disputes, public and regulatory matters. He has particular expertise in directors duties’ issues and governance, shareholder and insolvency disputes.

Matthew provides pragmatic advice, assisting clients on a broad range of contentious commercial matters including in the energy and investment sectors and in respect of insolvency issues, arbitration and urgent injunctive relief.  He is an experienced advocate and regularly represents clients in the High Court and alternative dispute resolution settings.

Matthew has a Master of Laws from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and prior to joining Bell Gully, spent several years at leading London commercial disputes firm Cooke, Young & Keidan where he was a senior associate. He brings with him a wealth of experience in managing complex and large-scale international litigation and arbitrations.
