Jae Kim

Senior Associate, Auckland

Jae is a commercial litigator with experience across a broad range of matters, including complex contractual disputes, negligence claims, regulatory investigations, and protecting intellectual property and trade secrets.

Jae joined Bell Gully from the independent bar, where he acted and advised on cases at all levels of the senior courts, including appearing in the Supreme Court of New Zealand.

He was an employed barrister at Britomart Chambers, a junior barrister at Shortland Chambers, and a judges’ clerk at the High Court of New Zealand.

Jae completed an LLM by thesis at the University of Auckland focusing on privacy law. He has been a law tutor at the University of Auckland since 2017, primarily teaching tort law.
