She has acted for clients on a broad spectrum of real estate development matters and has extensive experience with staged subdivisions as well as staged unit title developments. She has advised international investors (including listed international companies) on their applications for sensitive land and/or significant business assets consents, retrospective consents, variations and exemptions.
Elena is qualified to practice in New Zealand, New South Wales and New York state.
Advised on its NZ$1.96bn acquisition of Z Energy by way of court approved scheme of arrangement which involved a complex Overseas Investment Act approval.
Advised a fund managed by EQT on its acquisition of Metlifecare, and have continued to advise Meltlifecare on subsequent matters including obtaining one-off consents for new acquisitions, standing consent for residential land, exemption and variations.
