Anna has broad experience supporting businesses in relation to employment related litigation, advisory and transactional matters.  Anna has also worked as an employment lawyer in both the UK and Australia giving her a unique understanding of the complexities faced by multinational clients, including with respect to cross-border issues and projects.

Anna regularly supports clients in ensuring that they have robust employment agreements and policies in place, through difficult disciplinary, restructuring and absence management processes and in managing workplace investigations, disputes, grievances and negotiated exits.

Anna regularly represents clients at mediation, and has appeared in the Employment Relations Authority and Employment Court in New Zealand, as well as courts and tribunals in the UK and Australia.

Employment processes and negotiated exits
Advising employers on best practice investigation, disciplinary, absence management and restructuring processes and negotiating the exits of senior team members on agreed terms.

Disputes and litigation
Successfully resolving numerous disputes at mediation, as well as representing and/or supporting clients in relation to proceedings in the Employment Relations Authority and Employment Court in New Zealand, the Employment Tribunal and High Court in the UK and the Fair Work Commission, Federal Court, Federal Circuit Court and Coroners Court in Australia.

Corporate transactions
Advising businesses in relation to the employment aspects of share and asset sales and acquisitions, including in relation to due diligence, the employment provisions of sale and purchase agreements and transfers of employment.

Compliance and advisory
Supporting clients in relation to large scale workplace compliance issues and projects, including in relation to the Holidays Act 2003 in New Zealand and various industrial instruments (modern awards) in Australia.

Royal Commission
Advising and supporting an ASX 50 listed company in relation to its participation in and provision of evidence at a five-day Royal Commission public hearing concerning the employment of people with disabilities.

Fair pay agreements
Advising in relation to the newly enacted Fair Pay Agreements Act 2022, including navigating the unique and complex bargaining process.
