Sally Whincop

Sally is a projects and real estate lawyer, focusing on commercial property transactions, and in particular all aspects of development and commercial leasing.

An experienced and well regarded projects and real estate lawyer, she has advised on some of New Zealand's most high profile property transactions. With over 25 years' experience, her clients include NZX-listed property funds, government agencies, multinationals, utility providers, iwi and charities.

Sally advises and negotiates across a range of asset classes including industrial, retail, commercial office, healthcare and forestry. Many of her clients have large national property portfolios, and she has worked closely with these clients over many years on their complex, diverse and changing property needs. Sally’s clients value her focused and common-sense strategic advice.

Sally also has extensive commercial leasing experience and acts for a number of large commercial landlord and tenant clients. She routinely advises on and negotiates a full range of transactions including complex design lease and build arrangements. Sally also provides strategic advice around dispute resolution between landlords and tenants.

Additionally, she leads property aspects of due diligence across a range of property assets.
