Grace is an experienced employment specialist who advises clients on all aspects of employment and workplace safety law.

Grace has broad experience spanning litigation, advisory and transactional work in both New Zealand and the UK. She has particular experience managing and advising on complex investigations involving a range of stakeholders, including in relation to workplace culture concerns, disciplinary matters, "team moves" and workplace safety incidents.

Grace advises clients on the full spectrum of employment issues, including personal grievances, restructuring and redundancy, disciplinary matters, performance issues, restraints of trade, and negotiated exits. Grace also supports clients in relation to workplace health and safety matters, including compliance with due diligence obligations and dealing with WorkSafe prosecutions. Grace also advises clients on the employment issues arising from business sales and acquisitions.

Complex workplace investigations

Managing a large and complex investigation into allegations against senior managers in the financial services industry in the UK, including in relation to culture concerns and regulatory breaches and also in respect of sexual harassment allegations.

Injunction proceedings and bullying investigation

Representing an employer in the education sector in the UK in relation to bullying allegations against a senior employee, including defending injunction proceedings in relation to an alleged unlawful suspension, grievances and requests for information.

Health and safety investigations and prosecutions

Advising clients in relation to internal and external investigations following serious harm incidents, supporting clients in relation to WorkSafe investigations and interviews, and dealing with WorkSafe prosecutions.

Claim against a media company

Advising a media company in relation to an ex-employee's claim in tort and defamation, and for misleading and deceptive conduct.

Best practice employment process and advisory work

Advising clients on compliant and best practice processes in relation to personal grievances, disciplinary matters, performance issues and restructurings.
