Bell Gully has continued two significant streaks after results from the Legal 500 Asia Pacific 2019 and Global Competition Review’s GCR 100 global survey were released this month.
The Legal 500 Asia Pacific 2019 awarded Bell Gully the most leading lawyer rankings for the 18th year running. In addition, Bell Gully is the only firm in the country with all of its practices areas ranked in the top two ranking tiers, ten of which received tier one rankings.
The rankings are a result of extensive research which analyses the views of clients, investment bankers, commercial bankers and accountants who work closely with lawyers and law firms.
Bell Gully also recorded the highest number of ‘Next Generation’ lawyers in the Legal 500 Asia Pacific 2019.
In the GCR 100 survey of the world’s leading competition law practices, Bell Gully’s competition team secured an “Elite’ ranking for the 14th consecutive year. The survey highlighted that the team has been engaged in eight of the 13 clearance applications lodged with or decided by the New Zealand Commerce Commission over the last 12 months.
The ‘Elite’ ranking in the specialist competition law publication comes shortly after Bell Gully’s competition practice was confirmed as having retained its ‘Band 1’ practice ranking in Chambers Asia Pacific 2019. The legal directory named four Bell Gully lawyers for their competition work in December, including a tier 1 ranking for practice leader Torrin Crowther.
