We have been involved in many of New Zealand's largest and most high profile takeovers. We have significant experience advising target companies, bidders and shareholders.

Having access to our top ranked specialists provides significant value for our clients on takeovers, including:

  • access to our litigation team for any Takeovers Panel hearings. This is particularly important for hostile takeovers or competing bids,

  • access to our full range of specialists to undertake legal due diligence. The ability to conduct a streamlined due diligence process is particularly important for takeovers, where due diligence must be undertaken in a very compressed timeframe, and

  • access to our tax team for deal structuring and to our finance team for leveraged transactions.

Our pragmatic approach is particularly valued by our clients in the high stakes, high pressure environment of takeovers work.
