Almost all of our partners and lawyers summer clerked with the firm. It is a great way to start your career too.

Outlined below are the key aspects of our application process to help you get an idea of what to expect.

Our interview process

If you are invited to attend an interview, we will be in touch by email and by phone. You will then be provided with more information about the interview process, it will be important to take a moment to prepare for the interview in order to make the most of the experience. 

The first step is a formal interview with two of our partners​. Our interview style is designed to let us get to know you, and for you to get an understanding of the firm. After the first interviews have been completed, we invite selected candidates to a second interview.

Interview team

Before each interview you'll be met by one of our junior solicitors who will be able to answer any questions about the interview or what it's like to work at Bell Gully. A member of our HR team will also be there to answer any questions you have about the process.

Offers

You'll have a difficult decision to make about which firm is right for you.​

We want to give you every opportunity to consider Bell Gully, its culture and people. It's important to us that you feel supported at every stage. If you receive an offer from us you will be allocated a buddy (one of our junior solicitors) who can provide you with information or give you advice as you navigate the offer stage of the process. Your buddy will contact you after you receive your offer and they will set up a time to meet. During the summer you will also be allocated a buddy to help settle into each of your rotations and to answer any questions you have along the way.
