helping-hand-2011-2012.jpgThe third issue of Bell Gully's pro bono and community programme report A Helping Hand has been released, and highlights the ongoing commitment of the firm to supporting not-for profit organisations in New Zealand.

The pro bono programme, which was formalised in 2009, has gone from strength to strength and A Helping Hand 2011/2012 highlights just some of the work undertaken for charitable organisations in 2011 and early 2012.

The Pro Bono committee, comprising six partners and three senior associates, oversees the programme which is targeted to achieve NZ$1 million per annum fee equivalent in pro bono legal services.

In 2011, a special focus of the programme was to extend the involvement of non-legal support staff, by offering support and resources to Bell Gully's pro bono partner organisations.
