The 13th Annual Strategic Remuneration Conference held in Wellington on 22 April focused on issues affecting employers and workplaces, particularly in light of the economic recession.
Topics included aligning remuneration strategy to attract and retain the right staff for long term organisation performance and effective forms of non-financial reward.
A presentation titled Legal Update: Avoiding the remuneration and contract minefield was given which outlined important court rulings and law changes for employers in the area of pay and benefits. It also provided an overview of the cans and can'ts for employers in structuring employment contracts.
