Bell Gully advises on Hamilton land sale for future city growth

Bell Gully has advised Kirkdale Investments Limited on its sale of a significant piece of land to Hamilton City Council for future urban development.

The 17 hectares of farmland northeast of Hamilton City is the site of the proposed new Rototuna town centre.

It is projected the town centre will include a new sports park, library and swimming pool complex — transforming it into a thriving urban hub and presenting a strong focus for the local community.

Bell Gully property partner Andrew Petersen, consultant David Rishworth and resource management senior partner David McGregor, advised Kirkdale Investments Limited on the sale of the land. They are currently working with Kirkdale and the Council on the preparation of a new Structure Plan for the Rototuna area which will include details of how the town centre will be developed.

It is anticipated the plan will be available for public comment and submission around the middle of 2009.
