Bell Gully advises on electronics industry acquisition

Bell Gully has advised international power and automation technology group ABB on its acquisition of the business assets of New Zealand company Vectek Electronics.

The ABB group of companies operates in around 100 countries and has been established in New Zealand for over 75 years. The Bell Gully team, led by partner David Boswell and senior associate Louise Hill, advised ABB on the transaction.

Vectek, based in Napier, New Zealand, has developed technology to improve the quality of the power supply in industrial installations. The company's high-power electronic converters mitigate the effects of voltage surges and sags and create a more stable and continuous power supply.

Vectek will operate as part of ABB's Automation Products division.
