Flexible working arrangements among 2008 employment changes

The employment law landscape for business has been outlined among a range of topics at the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants 2008 Business Update.

Bell Gully employment senior associate Anthony Drake addressed the gathering in Auckland last week on key changes and issues ahead including legislative developments and recent employment cases with key lessons for employers and employees.

Among the changes on the employment agenda for 2008 are possible changes to Easter trading regulations and the new flexible working arrangements legislation which comes into force on 1 July 2008.
