Bell Gully advises on Griffins expansion
Bell Gully has advised Griffins Foods on its expansion into the snack foods market through the acquisition of Nice & Natural.
Griffins, New Zealand's largest biscuit manufacturer and number two in the market for salty snacks, has acquired Auckland-based family-owned Nice & Natural for an undisclosed sum. Nice & Natural is a market leader in nutritious snacks.
Bell Gully partner David Flacks, assisted by senior associate Darryl King and solicitor Sarah-Jane Puch, advised Griffins on the acquisition.
Griffins Foods was last year bought by Pacific Equity Partners from Danone Asia Pte, Ltd, a subsidiary of Groupe Danone SA.
David Flacks was also the lead partner on that transaction, advising the Australian-based private equity investor, along with partner David McPherson and senior associate Darryl King.
