Murray King
Murray specialises in banking and finance and is an experienced adviser across a broad range of capital markets and lending transactions.
He has particular experience in acquisition financing and a well established securitisation practice. Murray advises some of our leading corporate clients on their funding requirements including the Rank Group of companies, Fletcher Building, Mainfreight, Fisher & Paykel and Nuplex Industries as well as acting for a number of leading financial institutions such as ANZ National Bank Limited, Bank of New Zealand, BNP Paribas, Citibank and Goldman Sachs.
Chambers Asia Pacific 2013 names Murray as a leading lawyer in banking and finance, with sources stating he is "an excellent lawyer and a leader in his field". Previous editions note that Murray's "experience is probably better than any other lawyer in New Zealand" and he is described as "a prominent partner in the banking practice, whose experience, efficiency and common sense are praised by clients."
IFLR1000 2013 names Murray as a leading lawyer in banking and finance, with clients commenting in the previous edition that he is "very good, responsive and commercial" and his "ability to advise on complex issues is outstanding." Murray is also listed as a leading individual in banking and finance in the Asia Pacific Legal 500 2012/2013.
