Karl is a commercial lawyer with extensive experience in procurement and technology projects.

Karl advises public sector entities on their individual and collective procurement activities, including syndicated and all of Government contracts, RFP and other procurement processes and project governance. He also advises public and private sector clients on contracts for the development, licensing, deployment and support of intellectual property, information technology and telecommunications products and services.

Karl joined Bell Gully from financial services firm Morgan Stanley in London, where he worked in a trans-Atlantic team with several other investment bankers to build a trade finance business.  He also worked in London as a senior associate at Simmons & Simmons advising on telecommunications and business process outsourcing, and at Olswang, a specialist media and technology practice. Prior to his London experience Karl worked for another leading New Zealand law firm.
