Haydn specialises in corporate and securities law with a focus on divestments and acquisitions, investment products, company and commercial law and energy projects.
In addition to advising on a full range of corporate matters, he also has expertise in outsourcing and establishing and operating investment product offerings.
Haydn’s work focuses on M&A transactions, company and commercial law, stock exchange compliance, securities law, takeovers, and energy-related projects.
Haydn joined Bell Gully in 1992 and is a partner in the corporate/commercial department. He worked first in the Wellington office before leaving for two years with Allen & Overy in London. He re-joined Bell Gully in late 1998, based in the Auckland office.
Who's Who Legal 2011 and PLC Which Lawyer? 2011 recognise Haydn as a leading M&A lawyer. Chambers Global 2010 also identifies Haydn as a leading corporate lawyer, noting his "broad expertise in general corporate work and investments", with clients describing Haydn as "innovative and commercially minded" in an earlier edition.
