Chris is a corporate lawyer specialising in corporate finance transactions, including securities offerings, takeovers and private acquisitions and disposals. His experience includes advising both corporate clients and investment banks.

Chris began his legal career in London with leading international law firm Herbert Smith Freehills in 2001. He was seconded to Bell Gully from 2007 to 2009, and rejoined on a permanent basis in 2012. Both in New Zealand and London, Chris has advised on a number of initial public offerings, rights issues and other equity offerings, as well as public takeovers, private company acquisitions and joint ventures.

Chris's career has included secondments to Lazard (London), Deutsche Bank (London) and Japan National Oil Corporation (Tokyo).
