Brynn is a corporate law specialist experienced in acquisitions, divestments, joint ventures, privatisation, corporate fundraising, public offerings and private placements of securities, and stock exchange compliance.

He has advised a wide range of clients on due diligence, negotiation and completion of acquisition agreements, public flotations and employee share purchase and dividend reinvestment schemes.

With a proven ability to manage large transactions, Brynn led Bell Gully's team managing all aspects of the Fletcher Challenge separation. This included many significant transactions, including the sale of Fletcher Paper to Norske Skog, the sale of Fletcher Energy to Shell/Apache, and the IPOs of Fletcher Building and Rubicon.

Brynn's expertise is recognised in a number of international forums. He is named in the top tier of leading individuals for corporate and M&A by Asia Pacific Legal 500 2011/2013, which notes in the previous edition his "very strong technical skills" and client comments that he is "outstanding and extremely efficient" and "highly professional and responsive."

Chambers Asia Pacific 2013 ranks Brynn as a leading individual with clients describing him as "a very safe pair of hands with a huge capacity for managing detail." Previous editions note him as "a great commercially oriented thinker" who has a "fantastic knowledge of the law" and is a "highly respected corporate law specialist with wide-ranging experience across a multitude of transactions for public and private companies." He is also named as a leading capital markets and M&A lawyer in the IFLR1000 2013.
