Andrew is a consultant with the firm specialising in corporate and energy law.

Andrew is recognised as one of New Zealand's leading corporate lawyers. He has a particular focus on the energy sector and has a wide range of expertise and experience within the industry.

Andrew retired from the firm in December 2009 but continues as a consultant based in Wellington. He is currently undertaking a year of study for a MCA (thesis on SOEs) at Victoria University. He has recently been appointed as an Independent Director of Gas Industry Company Limited (the gas industry co-regulatory body) and is working on assignments with the New Zealand Institute for the Study of Competition and Regulation Inc.

He has been involved in a large number of New Zealand's most significant legal transactions, including acting for Fletcher Challenge on its multiple innovative transactions through the 1990s. Andrew has also worked on some of New Zealand's most significant corporate transactions, such as the Westpac NZ Class Share issue and the successful merger of INL and Sky TV in 2005, a deal which was recognised as New Zealand Deal of the Year at the 2006 ALB Australasian Law Awards.

Andrew is named as a leading individual by the Asia Pacific Legal 500 2007/2008 and 2008/2009 in the areas of corporate/commercial and mergers and acquisitions practice. He is recognised as a highly recommended individual in corporate/M&A by PLC Which Lawyer? 2009 and a leading lawyer by IFLR1000 2007. International publication Best Lawyers includes Andrew in its list of New Zealand's top corporate practitioners. He is listed as an expert in the Legal Media Group's M&A Lawyers Expert Guide.
