Learning and development

Bell Gully is committed to the development of its people.

All staff receive a comprehensive induction to the firm. Additionally, each year, the firm offers a range of learning and development programmes which cover leadership, management and communication skills and the very latest legal developments.

Ongoing information technology courses are offered and there is also a training programme specifically catering for support staff learning needs. The programmes include topics that will help each person to succeed in both their professional and personal lives.

Bell Gully also supports lifelong learners and encourages everyone to attend training seminars and workshops that will provide them with the key tools to become more effective in their daily activities.

Programmes include:

  • Summer Law Clerk Programme which runs from November to February each year.
  • Law Clerk Development Programme for law clerks in their first year.
  • Senior Associate Development Programme.
  • Management Development Programme.
  • Department Training and Development Programmes (Litigation, Corporate Commercial, Tax, Financial, Commercial Services) which focus on legal skill development.
  • Business Support Staff training programme.
  • Stretch - a formal mentoring programme for all staff. All staff are able to participate in this programme – a great way to help meet professional and personal goals.
