Bell Gully is committed to the ongoing development of its people.

We offer a range of learning options to support each individual's professional development goals.

Along with a comprehensive induction to the firm for all new staff, we offer development courses on leadership, management, communication skills and the very latest legal developments.

We have developed a full set of skills pathways which set out the knowledge and skills required at different career stages and across different roles.

The skills pathways form the basis of our learning and development programmes, which include:

  • Law Clerk Development Programme for legal staff in their first year of practice.

  • Department Training and Development Programmes, which focus on legal skill development.

  • Senior Associate Development Programme which focuses on leadership, career development and advancement.

  • Stretch - a formal in-house mentoring programme for staff. All staff are able to participate in this programme, as mentors or mentorees.
