Bronwyn French
Position: Accounts manager
Department: Accounts and Finance
I started with Bell Gully in 1995 as an accounts payable clerk. Over the years my role has progressed to assistant accountant, accountant and now accounts manager
I completed my accounting degree part time while working for the firm - Bell Gully was really supportive allowing me days off for exam study and even making it possible to attend the occasional class during work hours.
My main responsibilities now are preparing the financial accounts of the firm and providing financial information and advice. Last year I was also involved in compiling data for the firm's "carbon audit", calculating our CO2 emissions for 2007, which will be used as a base year so that we can make comparisons in future and work to reduce our emissions over the coming years.
Bell Gully is a great place to work – it's the people who make it that way. The accounts team is top-notch – they are experienced, skilled and great fun to work with. We also have annual individual development discussions which provide the opportunity to reflect on what we have achieved during the year and to set objectives for the future.
